Special Note to Parents about Stanford Tests
During the week of April 26th, your child will take the Stanford Test Series, Tenth Edition. This week, in class, students will get some practice time and learn some test taking strategies. In addition, we are providing you with a “Preview for Parents” booklet which gives examples of the type of questions your child will be given. If you have extra time this week, you may like to look at this with your child and have them go through the booklet so they become more comfortable with the wording and types of questions.
The week of exams, students will be given minimal homework in order for them to get plenty of rest, sleep and nourishment. Grade 3 students should get approximately ten hours of sleep each night (we know this is tough, but try your best). In addition, they should come to school after a well balanced breakfast and with a fruit/vegetable snack for the mid-morning.
Thank you for your support.
